婦科新知 : 女性長期忍經痛 影響腦功能
「妳是不是『好朋友』來了，脾氣這麼大！」台灣半數女性都有經前症候群，月經前看什麼都不順眼，暴躁易怒像一觸即發的火山。台北榮總研究團隊廿八日發表最新研究，女性長期經痛及經前情緒不悅會導致大腦結構變異，對女性腦功能的影響「非同小可」。
醫師建議，女性對月經帶來的不適，千萬不要忍，應積極治療處理。
榮總研究團隊是全球首度以正子斷層掃描及磁振造影等高科技分析女性經痛的腦部變化，結果分別刊登在國際知名神經影像醫學《NeuroImage》和疼痛《Pain》期刊，引起國際重視。
北榮教研部腦功能研究室主持人謝仁俊教授表示，國內七到九成育齡女性都有經痛問題，經過影像分析，令人震驚的發現是，經痛的二、三天內，患者腦部功能與結構出現明顯變化，特別在情緒調控區域，女性右腦對負向情緒比男性更易「耿耿於懷」，大腦皮質某些部位變厚、有些區域萎縮，導致身體更不耐痛。
北榮婦產部婦癌實驗室主任趙湘台表示，很多女性長期忍受經痛和經前一周的「經前不悅症」，他門診有位年輕護士，月事前夕就眼皮腫脹，體重增加四、五公斤，也失去平日笑容，工作效率大受干擾。一位女律師經期前出現嚴重頭痛，看什麼都不順眼，很容易被惹毛，乾脆拒絕見客戶。
為什麼女性會因經期像變了一個人？趙湘台表示，女性月經週期中，體內荷爾蒙改變，目前研究發現，與個人體質對卵巢荷爾蒙變化的敏感性有關，特別是血清素不足引起，旁人應多體諒。
北榮副院長蘇東平表示，對於經前症候群，可在來經前兩周，服用血清素回收抑制劑，多數人症狀都可獲得緩解。
